Take your photography beyond natural light! Join us for a hands-on session designed to boost your confidence and creativity with off-camera flash techniques.

In this engaging workshop, you’ll learn how to balance ambient and off-camera flash lighting to create dynamic portraits in real-world environments. We’ll cover lighting setups, positioning, modifiers, power balancing, and creative problem-solving for both indoor and outdoor sessions. You’ll also get practical tips for working efficiently on location — whether photographing seniors, families, or children.

Bring your camera, your flash setup, and your curiosity! This session focuses on experimentation, collaboration, and real results.

By the end of the workshop, you’ll be able to light subjects in various settings, use off-camera flash to add depth and mood, and handle changing lighting conditions with ease. You’ll leave with the skills to create professional-quality portraits that truly stand out.

Speaker Bio:

Glen Gray is a professional photographer and educator, and co-owner of Gray’s Mountain Studio in Jonestown, Pennsylvania, with his wife, Patty. Known for his senior portraits, Glen combines his experience as a consultant, teacher, and photographer to create images that are both technically strong and personally meaningful.

An engaging speaker and instructor, Glen has shared his knowledge at national and regional events, including PPA conventions, PPANE, and the Mid-Atlantic Regional School (MARS). He has also taught week-long Photoshop and Digital Capture classes across the United States and in Jamaica, helping photographers refine both their craft and vision.

Glen’s leadership includes serving as President of both the Northeastern Pennsylvania Professional Photographers Association and the North Central PPA. His award-winning work has earned Photographer of the Year recognition and inclusion in the PPA Loan Collection, with one of his images displayed at Disney’s Epcot Center. He holds both Master of Photography and Craftsman degrees from PPA and has received the PPA National Award.

Glen remains passionate about creating impactful portraits and mentoring photographers in both the art and business of photography.
